We also welcome you to submit your modeling photos and each month we'll pick a model of a month who will then receive a members shoot at a professional studio. You can submit your picture by clicking the icon below. Pleas note all photos will be moderated before inclusion.
By top local glamour model Layla Randle-Conde
Top glamour models travel the world and earn thousands a month.
But for every success story there are hundreds of girls who model for a
hobby, or supplement their income with sexy photo shoots. Basically a
professional glamour model is someone who gets paid to look sexy in
photographs. This may involve skimpy underwear, partial or total nudity .
If you’re confident enough to appear on camera in your skimpies, then
you may have what it takes to be a model. All glamour models are different,
but the ones that get the most work have these things in common:
Clear skin and bright eyes
Sexy hair (you don’t have to be a bleach-blonde, but healthy looking hair is a must)
A toned body
Evenly shaped, perky boobs (they don’t have to be huge)
Nice teeth
Well groomed (no bitten nails, stubbly legs etc)
Three sides to modeling:- the good, the bad and the ugly!
The Good
You can earn far more than a regular job for just a few hours work
If you’re an outgoing kind of person then you’ll really enjoy the photo shoots and the attention
Your professional photos can help you get work in other areas, acting for example.
The Bad
Jobs are few and far between. You may be waiting weeks or even months between paying work.
Most people have to do a few ‘freebies’ to be noticed by photographers. You're unlikely to get paid work straight away.
Competition is fierce, and both photographers and other models can be unkind
Family and friends sometimes don’t understand. Your parents may not agree with you appearing topless or nude in photographs.
Even friends can sometimes be jealous and bitchy to someone who becomes a model.
The Ugly:
New glamour models are sometimes targeted by guys who are not photographers. They just want to see your body! While that’s hardly a surprise to most girls, it’s sometimes hard to tell who is genuine and who isn’t.
Whatever you do on camera is there forever. It’s important to decide right from the beginning what levels of modeling you are comfortable with - and stick to it.
Modeling can play havoc with your body image. Everyone else may think you are stunning and glamorous, even though you’re convinced your bottom is the size of a tank!
Although modeling is a rewarding, fun career for many, be aware of the pitfalls and try to keep your feet on the ground. The Camera Club team are here to help new and seasoned models from their first shoot to regular paid assignments.
